COLUMBUS, Ind. - The Lincoln-Central Neighborhood Family Center (LCNFC) has announced the creation of the annual "Dan Greene Service Award." Greene was a founding member of the LCNFC and a longtime, dedicated volunteer. He passed away in 2025.
The award recognizes an LCNFC Board Member who exemplifies Greene’s care, consideration, and dedication to the nonprofit and the neighbors it serves. The 2026 Award recipient is LCNFC Board Member and Neighborhood Resident, Marc Rape.
Rape has served the LCNFC in a variety of roles and has gone over and beyond strengthening the Board, its staff, Lincoln-Central Neighborhood residents, and the neighborhood as a whole.
LCNFC Executive Director, Randy Allman, said, “Marc is the perfect choice to receive the inaugural award honoring two great neighborhood leaders.”
Greene’s wife and three of their four children helped presented the award along with Allman and fellow LCNFC Founding Member, Jack Combest. It will be displayed at YES Cinema, which LCNFC owns and operates.
The LCNFC is a neighborhood resource center in downtown Columbus, proudly serving neighborhood residents for over 30 years. For more information, visit www.lcnfc.org or call 812-379-1630.
