COLUMBUS, Ind. - The Columbus Police Department (CPD) released a statement on Monday, just before 7 a.m., saying that due to the ongoing power outage, the traffic lights downtown along Lindsey, Brown, and Jackson Streets are out on Monday, August 24.
This outage is related to the wider Duke Energy outage caused by "equipment going offline" that left 250 customers without power near 5 a.m.. Estimated time of restoration is 10 a.m.
Motorists are asked to use caution and drive safely. There will likely be traffic delays.
If possible, use an alternate route.
