NORTH VERNON, Ind. - The North Vernon Police Department (NVPD) Narcotics Task Force led a narcotics investigation in the area of North Buckeye Street in North Vernon on Wednesday, February 4.

During the investigation, detectives allegedly found 10+ grams of methamphetamine, located evidence consistent with a suspected mobile meth lab, and discovered items of drug paraphernalia.

NVPD officers applied for and were granted a search warrant, which was subsequently executed at a residence in Seymour.

An Indiana State Police Meth Lab Specialist and the Seymour Police Department assisted in executing the residential search warrant.

As a result of the investigation, Tristan Lemarr, age 27, of Seymour, was arrested and was preliminarily charged with:

  • Dealing in Methamphetamine
  • Possession of Meth
  • Possession of Marijuana
  • Possession of Paraphernalia
  • Manufacturing of Meth

Task Force Commander Heffelfinger said, “Mobile meth labs are dangerous, not only to those involved in their operation, but to surrounding residents and first responders due to the risk of toxic exposure, fire, and explosion. These cases take time, patience, and a lot of manpower. The teamwork displayed here helped ensure a safe outcome for the community, the officers involved, and everyone affected by this investigation.”

All charges are preliminary, and the suspect is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
